Our Leadership Team

Our highly experienced, credentialed staff has a passion for excellence and a commitment to improving the lives of those suffering from behavioral health disorders. We have licensed social workers, psychiatrists and other mental health professionals on staff. The senior management at the Behavioral Health Hospital of Bellaire makes sure we provide the highest level of excellence in care for all of our inpatient and outpatient programs.

Eric Amoh, CEO

Eric Amoh PA-C, MBA, CAQ-Psychiatry joined the Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire in January 2019. Eric joins BHB from Westchester Health Network (WMC) in New York State, a tertiary academic medical center where he served as Senior Vice President of Clinical Services. In that role, Eric had leadership accountability for a multi-facility comprehensive behavioral health program spanning inpatient, outpatient, and emergency psychiatric services across the lifespan. He additionally had responsibility for the network’s primary and specialty outpatient medical clinics including operations of a large AIDS care program. During his tenure at WMC, Eric led significant operational improvements that included the rollout of a robust tele-psychiatric program, formation of a Stabilization Center as an alternative to avoidable ED utilization, new service offerings in addiction medicine, workforce development, and a milestone achievement of the institution’s ambulatory clinics as a level 3 patient-centered medical home by the National Committee on Quality Assurance. Prior to joining WMC, Eric held several leadership roles with America Service Group, a national for-profit provider of correctional medical and mental health services in Baltimore, Philadelphia, and in New York.

Eric has a clinical, academic, and business background. He is a graduate of Long Island University/Brooklyn Hospital Center in NYS as a Physician Assistant and has practiced clinically in primary care and correctional health settings.

Eric received his Masters of Business Administration from Eastern University in St. Davis Pennsylvania. Eric is currently Clinical Associate Professor at Pace University Physician Assistant Program in Pleasantville, NY.

Dr. Adan Alvarez, MD – Medical Director of Integrated Behavioral Medicine Program

Dr. Adan Alvarez is a native Texan born in Brownville. He is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and did his residency in Family Medicine in Daytona Beach, Florida. He is boarded in Family Medicine, and worked in the Memorial Hermann Medical Group, before joining Contemporary Medicine Associates in 2019. Dr. Alvarez takes a holistic approach to practicing medicine, caring for the body as well as the mind. One of his priorities is helping patients make healthy lifestyle changes and develop healthy habits. Dr. Alvarez is passionate about providing the best care for his family practice patients and medically treating people with substance use disorders.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Alvarez also does preventive medical care such as annual wellness visits, sports physicals and well woman exams. In addition to prevention he also cares for a wide variety of acute and chronic medical problems. These include infections or injuries as well as long term medical conditions ranging from hypertension to both insulin and non-insulin dependent diabetes. Now he is focusing on depression and addiction as he believes that these issues always compound other medical problems if not addressed. If any issues are beyond Dr. Alvarez’s scope of practice, he makes sure that his patients get in to see specialists in a timely manner.

Cheryl Grenas, CNO

Cheryl Grenas is a highly skilled Nursing Professional with qualifications and expertise in providing high quality nursing care and unparalleled patient service.
Cheryl served in the United States Navy for 20 years, achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander, and is a veteran of 2 deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2005) and Operation Enduring Freedom (2011). She was awarded two Navy Commendation Medals and four Navy Achievement Medals during her service.

Cheryl has extensive executive-level experience in the acute and behavioral hospital settings as well as free-standing Emergency Departments. Cheryl has expertise in ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, acquiring DNV and JC certifications.

Francis Tezanos, MBA, Chief Financial Officer

Francis Tezanos, MBA, joined the Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire in July 2022. Francis joins BHB from West Oaks Hospital where he was part of the CFO In Training Program. Francis brings over 17 years of experience in healthcare IT and Finance.

Francis earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Master of Business Administration and Master of Accountancy from Florida International University. During his free time, Francis enjoys spending time with his daughter and visiting friends and family in Florida.

Luis Nunez, Director of Business Development

Luis Nunez, MBA, joined the Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire in October 2022 where he is responsible for managing the hospital’s strategic marketing plan and leading all sales and business development efforts. He brings over 17 years of healthcare sales, marketing and leadership experience to the role.

Luis earned his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature from California State University, Fullerton and his Master of Business Administration from the University of La Verne.

During his free time, Luis enjoys traveling with his wife and attending their two boys’ sporting events.

Arlet Olivares, MSW, LCSW-S, Clinical Program Director

Arlet Olivares, MSW, LCSW-S joined Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire in November 2022 as a Director of Clinical Services and is responsible for oversight of a team of Mental Health Therapists. She became part of UHS family in 2014 in El Paso, TX as a Program Therapist. Arlet brings 13 years’ experience in social services, working with children and families, having served as a Clinician, Director, and as an independent practitioner in her private practice.

Arlet earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2015 and is currently obtaining a Doctor of Social Work degree from Walden University. Arlet was born and raised in Southern California and her hobbies include cooking and spending time with family.
