Our highly experienced, credentialed staff has a passion for excellence and a commitment to improving the lives of those suffering from behavioral health disorders. We have licensed social workers, psychiatrists and other mental health professionals on staff. The senior management at the Behavioral Health Hospital of Bellaire makes sure we provide the highest level of excellence in care for all of our inpatient and outpatient programs.
Amanda Tejeda-Blanco
Chief Executive Officer
Amanda started her career with UHS as a Mental Health Technician over 10 years ago. She has worked at several facilities and has held several roles including Case Manager, Group Facilitator, Director of Utilization Management and Case Management, Director of Risk Management and Performance Improvement, Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Operating officer, and Chief Executive Officer. In her tenure with UHS, she has successfully driven initiatives to convert a facility to seclusion free and started clinical trials on acute schizophrenic patients through MERCK, a research organization.
Amanda received her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s in Health Administration from Florida Atlantic University. She also earned a Healthcare Risk Management Certification from the University of Florida and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Brandon Askew
Chief Financial Officer
Brandon joined Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire in 2023 as Chief Financial Officer. He has over 10 years of healthcare finance experience, including six years with UHS. Brandon has held CFO and Market CFO titles in previous organizations and across multiple markets that add to his ability to positively impact financial operations. Brandon has headed financial initiatives and capital improvements in the past including outpatient program development and bed expansion projects and eagerly looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact on mental healthcare.
Brandon is a native of Memphis, Tennessee and received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Memphis and his Master of Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University.
Cheryl Grenas
Chief Nursing Officer
Cheryl Grenas is a highly skilled Nursing Professional with qualifications and expertise in providing high quality nursing care and unparalleled patient service.
Cheryl served in the United States Navy for 20 years, achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander, and is a veteran of 2 deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2005) and Operation Enduring Freedom (2011). She was awarded two Navy Commendation Medals and four Navy Achievement Medals during her service.
Cheryl has extensive executive-level experience in the acute and behavioral hospital settings as well as free-standing Emergency Departments. Cheryl has expertise in ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, acquiring DNV and JC certifications.
Luis Nunez
Director of Business Development
Luis Nunez, MBA, joined the Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire in October 2022 where he is responsible for managing the hospital’s strategic marketing plan and leading all sales and business development efforts. He brings over 17 years of healthcare sales, marketing and leadership experience to the role.
Luis earned his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature from California State University, Fullerton and his Master of Business Administration from the University of La Verne.
During his free time, Luis enjoys traveling with his wife and attending their two boys’ sporting events.
Julyne Viau
Director of Intake
Julyne Viau possesses over 12 years of clinical and counseling experience in acute, residential and outpatient mental health treatment environments. She is a Registered Mental Health Counselor (RMHC) and has functioned in various capacities to include admissions, social work, mobile crisis and therapy. Julyne has extensive experience working with adults and juveniles engaging in treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Play Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
Julyne earned her Bachelor’ of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida, and her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling, from Nova Southeastern University.
Julyne is compassionate, committed to behavioral health and endeavors to enhance patient care systems and the patient experience.
