Wound Treatment for Patients with Psychiatric Needs

Wound Treatment for Patients with Psychiatric Needs

Individuals living with a psychiatric illness are at an increased risk of physical health problems compared with the general population. Wound Care Services are provided at the Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire for patients that are in need of wound care treatment along with crisis stabilization. We provide an accurate wound care assessment and develop an effective plan that is implemented and monitored daily throughout the patients stay.

Our patients are supervised by an on-site wound care nurse with an individualized treatment plan, wound care management and frequent reassessment to ensure effective healing.
